Are you ready for some football?

Gibson sure is!  He bleeds purple and is our little lucky charm.  K-State currently has 7-0 record.  Daddy loves watching the game with his little man and little man loves it too (although mommy isn't too happy that her baby is in awe of the TV).

Gibson recently went to his first birthday party that was for his friend, Woods.  It was a pool party and Jerod and Gibson had a blast.

Gaby + Gibson = BFFs.  Gaby is Gibson's all time favorite person.  He lights up every morning when he sees her.  We are so lucky to have her take care of him on the days that I go to work.  She loves him like he is her own.  She is getting married this December and something tells me that Mister Gibster is going to be one jealous kiddo when the time comes for her to have her own baby.

Last but not least, we have our 4 month old photo shoot below for your viewing pleasure.  G loves his baths.

He weighed in at 15lbs and 6oz and measured 25 1/4 inches long at his 4 month checkup.  Both measurements are in the 50th percentile.  His head, however, is at the 95th percentile.  He definitely takes after his daddy ;)

3 months already...

Wow, I can't believe our baby boy is already 3 months old.  Below is a a couple of happy pics from his 3 month photo-shoot.  How did we celebrate you ask?  Well, Gibson decided the night he turned 12 weeks that he would sleep through the night with no feedings.  That's right, 10-12 hours of fabulous, uninterrupted sleep this WHOLE week.  I love him more and more everyday (especially when I don't have to wake up in the middle of the night to feed him).

On the road again....

Jerod, Gibson and I packed up our stuff and headed to Hot Springs, AR for Labor Day weekend.  It took us about 8 hours there and Gibson was AWESOME!  I seriously don't know how we got blessed with such a perfect baby.  The first stop was at Shoshi (my mom) and Poppa D's lake house near lake Ouachita.  We had a wonderful dinner with them and fish fry for lunch the next day.  I think we ate more at their house than we do at a typical Thanksgiving feast.

Shosh and Gibs

Next stop, Grandpa Bruce's beautiful lake house on Lake Hamilton.  We had great time visiting with Grandpa and Randy and Elizabeth (my Godparents).  We arrived Thursday and stayed until Monday.  I was worried that Gibson would be thrown off his "schedule" and not sleep well since he wasn't in his crib.  Gibson was angel the whole time.  I was pleasantly surprised with how much I was able to relax and enjoy myself.  My Grandmother Jonnell, Aunt Deana, Roy, Mitchell, Brooke and Cash all came up on Saturday to meet Gibson.  Gibson LOVED his great-grandma and quit fussing whenever she picked him up.  On Sunday we followed tradition and played a few game of croquet at the Elrod's house (you can't go to Hot Springs and not play a couple of games of croquet).  Randy, Jerod and I all won one game.  We, of course, ate too much but had a good time doing it.

Elizabeth and her favorite baby boy!  Don't worry Lane, you aren't considered a baby anymore, you are still her favorite little boy.

Kissing Grandpa

Jerod and I spent our 1st wedding anniversary driving 8 hours back to Austin.  We were too tired to do anything when we got home so we ended up having a fantastic romantic dinner by ordering Pizza Hut and opening our honeymoon souvenir, a small bottle of Mumm Napa spakling wine.

A Family Affair

Gibson's grandparents and his uncle Justin came down to meet him for a long weekend. It was great hanging out with them and watching them love on their only grandchild. For those of you who don't know, Gibson looks just like his grandpa Frank. The next weekend, Kylee, my BFF/sister from another mister, came down to meet Gibson. He is such a lucky dude having all these out of state visitors. Speaking of, if you live in KC, Frontier Air has non-stop flights form KC to Austin for only $150 (my shameless plug to get the rest of you down here).

Girls Weekend

We were lucky enough to have my mom, 3 fabulous aunts (Jeanne, Mary Kay and Linda), my cousin, Katie, and her little bundle of joy, Charlie, all come down to visit right before I went back to work. Gibson should feel super special to have all these beautiful women come see him. We all had a blast! There were lots of laughs, good food and storytelling all weekend long. We even got a babysitter for Gibson and his cousins so we could all go out one night. My sister's nanny and her friend are brave souls to take on a 2 month, 4 month, 9 month and 2 1/2 year old all at once. We will definitely have to make this an annual thing.

Can you guess which one of us was photoshopped in?
